Kelsey is a lifelong Washingtonian. She has lived in various parts of Pierce County over the past 16 years, first moving to Bonney Lake after completing her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work at the University of Washington. Now, Kelsey and her husband happily call Graham home.

For the last six years, Kelsey has worked at Green River College where she currently serves a the Director of Transformation Wellness. Her and her team provide basic needs access to students, including access to food via the food pantry, direct funding for housing, supports for students who are survivors of violence, and resource navigation for parenting students. Previously Kelsey worked in the non-profit sector, where she advocated for survivors of domestic violence. In her role, she supervised volunteers and staff, and managed grants from local, state, and federal funding.

Kelsey also serves on various community, college, and statewide committees. Since 2020, Kelsey has been a member of Soroptimist International of Auburn, having served as the chair of the Awards and Education committee and club Vice President. Most recently, Kelsey was elected to and served as the Chair of the Pierce County Charter Review Commission. Throughout her committee service, she has encountered situations where there are competing needs and priorities. Kelsey has always approached this work in a collaborative way, working collectively to find the best possible solution that benefits the most people.

In her personal life, Kelsey is an avid fruit and vegetable gardener, and keeps a flock of laying hens.
